Pangya Fórum Update
Greetings everyone!
We've just finished setting up some of the new sections of the official Pangya forums, which should be available for posting now. The first thing I'd like to ask all of you is to please notify us if you spot anything weird happening with the forum. We'd like to get these issues ironed out before launch so when the rest of the community joins us, they'll find a nice stable forum to call home.
Most of the new sections are pretty self explanatory, there are just a few changes I wanted to discuss in greater detail:
All of the sub-forums in the "Official Pangya News" section will not accept new posts, only replies. This is normal, it's because the staff starts threads in these sections.
Polls have been enabled in the off-topic forums, feel free to play around with them!
The Pangya Q&A section uses a special format of posting: The original poster's message is treated as a question, and your replies to it may either be considered as replies, or as answers. If you click the green "Suggest an Answer" button next to the original post, your response will be treated as a possible answer to that question. Then, the poster (or a moderator) can mark your response as the best answer to that question if they like it.
Also, anyone is free to nominate any post in a Q&A thread as an answer; it's up to the original poster (or a moderator) to verify it as the answer. Once a question has a verified answer, that answer shows up in green right below the question, so new users can find the answers to common questions very quickly!
This feature has also been enabled on the Technical Issues forum since there's no need to solve common technical problems more than once! However, on the Technical Issues forum it's optional; when you're writing a post you can choose to write it as a Discussion thread of Question thread.
